If you enter a battle, remember to battle.
You can have the most original style, cleanest sets, unbelievable power moves, but if you’re not adding battle tactics to it, then you’re really only just showcasing. While being original/creative is always number one, you have to remind yourself you’re battling against someone. Simply facing your opponent druing your run is the most basic and most minimal battle tactic. Adding attitude, aggression, and timing will also help enhance your runs into battle runs. By timing what you do to counter what your opponent does before you is considered a tactic without being aggressive.
Aside from those, you throw in ‘burn moves’ which are basically movements made specifically for battling. The most common burns are a mimic of using a weapon. Going the non-violent route, but still be able to diss your opponent will stand out from the common burns.
Be creative in your burns as well, don’t throw a random c’ck or point a gun at your opponent and expect points. Throw em into your training/practices.
lesson for today.
showcasing is for shows, battling is for battles.
