CROWDS INFLUENCE ON JUDGES
I was discussing with some friends last night with how the crowd/teammates can affect the judges outcome. I’ve judged plenty, and cant say this hasnt happened to me before, because it has. But I’ve practiced to slowly block out all extra noise by sitting near the speaker system. haha. Because when you judge, all you need to know is that they are dancing on beat, moving to the rhythm, and doing it in an original way.(which branches off into another topic that I’ll get into another day) Anyway, try watching a battle clip for the first time, with no sound. The hometown cheers and louder crews will be blocked out, and could possibly give you a different outcome!
For fun, we brainstormed ideas that would solve this. My friend Dann thinks the judges should wear headphones directly from the DJ soundboard. That way its just him, the dancer, the music. And not on who has more louder crewmates. haha. With technology today, why not do it. anyway, thanks for letting me share your bright idea Dann. BDB (BabyDanceBroomz) hahah.jp.
